4. Temple of Artemis: the temple worships to the goddess Artemis hunting. It has another name is the temple of Diana. It was built from marble. It was 377 feet long and 180 feet wide. It was in Turkey. The temple construction was started in 550 B.C, throughout times the process of rebuilding and expansion over the period, and it was finished in 430 BC. It was a total 120 years. It was destroyed by fire on the night Alexander the Great was born in 356 B.C.
5. Tomb of Mausolus: the tomb was built for King Mausolus of Caria. It was built from 353 BC to 351 BC in Halicarnassus city in the capital of Caria origin, and it was honor the value of the force of the pope ruled Jangvonhai. It was made from many marvel stones, but those stones were used to build the castle in 1522.
6. Sun god In Rhodes: it was really big statue that it was built for the sun god Helios. People believed the sun god protected Rhodes. It was built in 280 BC, and then it was collapsed in an earthquake in 224 B.C. it was about 105 feet high.
7. Lighthouse of Alexandria: the lighthouse was built under the reign of King Ptolemy I, and it was opened around 283 BC under King Ptolemy II. It was collapsed completely in 1303 during a severe earthquake. Except Pyramid at Giza, the lighthouse is the highest in the ancient world. It had 3 floors, and it was about 135m.
Why did people build those buildings? They had to spend a lot money and time for those buildings. The ancient world often had many famous buildings, but they were also collapsed by many causing from the power natures. What do you think the seven Wonders of the Ancient World? I think the most value of them is we know a lot culture life in the ancient world.
