What Things Do I love EAP 98?

I love many things, and one of them is how to write good an essay. Because last quarter I didn’t know explanation and examples are very important for the essays. I have practiced how to write a good conclusion. Last quarter I just knew that I should write the same the thesis statement in conclusion. So this quarter I have learn a good way that is use other words but it have to be the same meaning. I can give my opinion in conclusion. Sometimes I felt really hard to do something such find the meaning and search for information for essays or others, but I feel better now. I have known many from my classmates’ blog. I feel exciting with the stuff of Pavel in the blog because he has written something about soccer. Soccer is my favorite sport. I would like making outline for essays that will help me write essay better. I love argumentative essays although the fact, they are not easy. I always think that hard things make me learn good things and improve my knowledge. I hope I don’t forget what I have learned many things during this quarter because I want to use this stuff for next quarter. Maybe I should look at new information of this quarter few times to make sure that I keep them deep inside my head. What Make You Very Happy?

HEY, guys! How are you feeling right now? I feel great because I have learned many interesting things and have make friends with many people this quarter. I am going to study in summer quarter. I have already registered two classes. How about you? Do you have a plan in summer? Maybe you can take a vacation in your native country. I absolutely like the blogger because I learn a lot thing from it. I like to take a vacation, but I don’t have more choice. I am not good vocabulary guy. I have an experience that is I don’t make a judgment to thing or people before I know the true. Sometimes I still ask myself how I can improve and add it up my vocabulary. I have a bad memory for language. I can have good memory for some subjects but not English. Maybe I am a lazy guy, I am afraid of it, or I hate it. Do you love English? I have no choice for studying English. All of you are good speaker but not me. I frustrated myself about it. When I look at some people, I have learned one important thing that is how to control our own anger and feel. We can make many arguments with each other every day that will help us to be a good person or overcome the shortcomings deep inside ourselves. That Is my opinion. Maybe you have a better idea.

What Do Men and Women Do on Dating?

Do you think who is better to ask out if she or he wants dating (men or women)? Men can buy flower giving it to the girl who he wants dating. He had better choose good places to go on the first day. He should wear nice clothes, but it is not too bright. He has to pick up the girl on time or a little early and never late on the first day. He can open the door for the girl getting in and getting out of the car (the door of restaurant, home, and others). He is supposed to make some good conversation and never ask the girl about age and salary. I think men are better to pay for eating and others on the first day. He can make a plan for going somewhere. He ought to show how glad to go with the girl. The girl should wear fancy or nice clothes. Don’t be too sexy or messy. Try to be a nice woman and not sassy on the first day. Both men and women don’t use bad words (shit, what the heck, bitch, son of the bitch, and so on). Women had better not say something about your ex. She can make some good jokes, but it depends on who she wants dating. What do you think if someone calls you guy or lesbian? I always feel nothing when she or he says that. I absolutely know who I am. That is my opinion. How about you?

What should I need learning?

I am not sure what I need to learn for two weeks left. I like studying hard thing although sometimes I make mistakes when I studying it. One reason that make me like it is I can remember something better when I do something wrong. In reading lap, I felt a little confuse when I answered some questions. Maybe I misunderstood the meaning of some words. In some questions, I felt there are two right answers for only one question. Maybe I missed some clues for those questions; as a result, I circled wrong a letter. I have recognized that we have a style of the essay left in our book. Argumentative essay is really strange for me. No teacher has mentioned this style to me until this quarter. And then I asked myself why Americans have many different kinds of the essay, and when they write this style. It is hard, isn’t it? I always live special style grammars because they help me write a good paragraph or an essay. I like the part how to search for information for writing an essay. I want o make sure that I can write a good essay for any style of this quarter. Hey, my classmates what do you want to study for two weeks left. The fact, I love all rules for writing essays, paragraphs, and sentences. I try to avoid adding information that is not essential for paragraph.

How to Improve the Speed Reading?

I am not a Native American, so my speed reading is often slow. I read slowly because I want to remember and understand better. Especially, I always read very slowly if the material is difficult or contains too much news vocabularies. When I read something, I frequently identify what is really important in that. I just remember important things. Before I came to senate room to listen how to make me a good reader, I am a poor reader. The man introduced the way that helps poor reader to become a good reader. If we want to be good reader, you should follow some steps. First, we have to answer this question that is how many words you read in one minute. And then you do it again until you make sure that you read more words than first time. If you feel good, you will go next step that is faster reading. You have to practice reading one page in ten second for one minute. After you finish that, you be supposed to ask yourself” what do I remember for one minute reading?” maybe you should practice it many time if you can. After that, you reduce two seconds for each page until each page is two seconds left for reading (scanning and skimming). If you practice them many times day by day, you will become a great reader. Some rules that you had better not follow when you read something are vocalizing, word-by word reading, finger and pencil pointing, moving your head(when you read , nothing needs to move except your eyes.) , word blocking, numbers, one rate reading, ignoring authors ‘clues regressing, and lack concentration. I think it is better you don’t do it. What is the strategy for you? I think we should become a good quality reader.

Learning, Changing, and Improving

I have learned interesting thing is how to write essay in cause and effect, And I have used many examples and give explanations in essays. I have recognized two ways to write essay in comparison: the block and point- by- point method and thesis statement sentence: implied or stated. If I want to be a good writer, I have to use transition words, give examples and explain obviously in essay, and I should make clearly the thesis statement and the topic sentence in each paragraph. That is better to have good hook. But sometimes I forget them when I don’t have enough time to write an essay. I have learned to avoid using one word many times in each paragraph. I had better use many vocabularies when I write essays and others. I have improved how to write good conclusion. Some people said that a good writer must make use of many complex and compound sentences. That is why I always write compound and complex sentences when I write any essay. I can write a good essay if I know a little bit information about topic. I feel that is really hard to write strange topic. I can writer best with optional topics. I love writing interesting things to make hook easily. From time to time, I tell myself to be careful when writing something. How about you? What makes person to become a great writer? That is question for many people.

A Free Life

How do you feel a free life when you live in foreign country? I always feel good because I can do everything, but the most important is I have to follow all laws where I live. I have many opportunities to study my goals or find jobs better. Everyone has problems to find a free life, but they like it because they believe that they will have a better life in near future. When I came here about a month, I thought what I have to do for a better life, and I should find a job to earn money or study in university. That time, I had really a big problem for understanding English when I wanted to ask some questions. Few months later, I asked my cousins who have lived here for many years if I should go to university, and they answered that I would have good life if I studied in university. I told myself why I don’t do good things in a free life. And then I made a decision that I want to become computer engineered. Some people said that it was really hard to study about that career, but one thing actually persuaded me to perform that major is when I thought of how successful of my cousins from their jobs. Don’t give up your goal too easy when you have tough time. Look at yourself after you watch this video. How do you feel? I think we should esteem everything around our life. We can do good many things if we try our best.

The most difficult thing for reading in English

I like reading newspaper and some information on internet, but sometimes I don’t understand or misunderstand when writer use special words such as slang, idiom, phrases verbs, and so on. I always like reading something in English for story, history, and news sports. When I lived in my country, I definitely hated studying English. In middle school, English is the worst subject of me. That was why I hated English. Since I came here, I have taken many classes that are math, English, and others. I have to change my mind for prejudicing English because I have no choice; I live in another country where people speak English. Sometimes in some books, there are many proverbs that are the best parts. Occasionally I don’t know what the word means when people use it in sentences because every word often has many meanings. I don’t like any writer who loves using old English when they write. Sometimes I feel frustration myself because I have bad memory. I don’t know why I am really bad when I study English. I don’t like English because many words that they have many syllables. Although I don’t like it too much, I have to study it for my goal. I only attempt to achieve something what I want for my job. If I have a chance to go back my previous life, I will spend more time to studying English in middle or high school.

People build those skyscrapers for many reasons. Maybe they want to show other people in the world is they are rich or for business. Currently, the tallest skyscraper in the world is Burj KHalifa in the United Arab Emirates. It has 160 floors, and it is 2,717 feet height. It was built in 2010. The second tallest skyscraper is Taipei 101 in Taipei, Taiwan. It has 101 floors, and it is 1,671 feet height. It was built in 2004. The eighth tallest skyscraper is Willis Tower in Chicago, USA. Is has 108 floors, and it is 1,451 feet height. It was built in 1973. It is shorter than Taipei although it has more floor than Taipei. Another tallest skyscraper in the US is Empire State Building in New York City. It has 102 floors, and it is 1,250 feet height. It was built in 1931. It was the tallest skyscraper in the world for a long time ago. Most Americans have known something about this skyscraper. Most people in the world have seen or heard twin towers in New York City. It is The World Trade Center. The World Trade Center was a complex of seven buildings in Lower Manhattan which was destroyed in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack. The site is currently being rebuilt with six new skyscrapers and a memorial to the casualties of the attacks.

4 Most Dangerous Animals on Our Planet

1. The Mosquito: it is quite small animal, but it is extremely dangerous parasites. They can spread out the malaria, dengue, and yellow fever. It causes approximately two million deaths worldwide each year. In Vietnam, there are a lot of mosquitoes in countryside during whole year. Worse, people cannot stand outside for a while when the crops are harvested. Scientists have discovered many different mosquitoes. Some of them are not harmful, but aedes aegypts are extremely dangerous. They spread out diseases above.

2. Cobras in Asian: Particularly, in India each year, they cause 50,000 deaths due to snake bite by expansive cobras, although cobra’s venom is not the strongest species. They often live in really hot places. People are really easy to die by one biting. In Vietnam, there are some kinds of cobra, but they are seldom harmful for people.


3. Giant white sharks - Each year, from 30 to 200 people died from shark attack. Giant white sharks often attack swimmers who swim too far the coast. People can die just by one biting, but sometimes people can escape from them by attacking back them. They are really extremely dangerous, but many people like hunting them for business. If you want to see how dangerous they are, you should watch some movie about shark.

4. Release poisonous frogs: they frequently live in the tropical forests of South America. They have more of the venom on their skins that are enough to kill 10 strong people. The colors of that frog are blue, dark blue, black, and slight yellow.

I have an advice for you: if you see some animals that they have homely, weird shapes, you have to stay away from them.

The Traditional Dishes of Vietnam

Vietnamese people have many traditional dishes that were made for a long, long time ago. That depends on each region and each domain to made traditional dishes. For example, in the south of Vietnam, people usually make glutinous rice cake (bánh tét) for New Year, ceremony, and some other special events. In the north and central part of Vietnam, people often make square glutinous rice cake (Bánh chưng). Glutinous rice cake and square glutinous rice cake are almost the same. Both are often made for special days. They are the oldest conditional dishes, which people still make them. People have their own ways to make it. Although people have many differences to make it, the main materials: rice well, green beans, meat fat, dry coconut, Salt, sugar, banana leaf rope columns, green onion oil. People have to spend more time for making, and they often boil them or steam about 7 to 10 hours, maybe more. They are better if you eat them with pickled vegetables such as cucumber, carrot, white radish, garlic, and so on. People habitually use sugar, vinegar, and many kinds of vegetable to make pickled things. Now, if people want to keep it long time, they have to put it in refrigerator. Most Vietnamese doesn’t have it that is why they give it to their relative and neighbors when they make it a lot. If you want to try it, you can buy it in Vietnamese supermarket anywhere. I can quarantine it is quite delicious.

My Favorite Dish

When I lived in Vietnam, I ate the dish which called the snake sweet and sour sauce. It was really delicious. After I have eaten that dish, I tried to cook it few times on the weekend. My friends and I often ate it when we drank beer or wine. It is quite good when it is eaten with rice. Since I came to the US, I have cooked it sometimes. I cannot cook snakes in the US. That is why I use chicken or quail eggs when I cook it instead snakes. I name for it that is “Quail Egg (Crispy Fried Chicken Wings) Sweet and Sour Sauce”. I can guide you cook it. If you don’t like quail eggs or chicken, you can use pork or others whatever you like.

The main material: quail Eggs, minced ginger, the chopped onions, chopped green onions, chili powder peach, vinegar, sugar, soy sauce, peanut, salt and pepper. It is better if you use the fresh quail eggs.

First: you put quail eggs in a pot for boiling and then peeled them. And then you should fry the peeling quail eggs until slightly golden eggs hatch skin is being inflated.

Next: You put the pan on the stove to make sauce ,and then you pour a half a bowl of water to boil, add minced ginger, the chopped onions, chopped green onions, chili powder peach, vinegar, sugar, soy sauce, peanut, salt and pepper . You can intersperse a little red pepper chopped into the sauce, depending on the amount of hot peppers that you want. You pour the eggs into the pan sauce. You ought to heat over medium heat to infuse spices eggs.

I have heard much information about it. Some people said that the meteorites would hit the earth in 2012. In additional, Maya is famous for wisdom in the field of mathematics and astronomy. Do you believe this event that will be happened? I definitely don’t believe it. We have some movies that tell about that day. I think people have many imaginations. I believe bad something will be happened around our lives, but our world won’t be ended. Have you heard that all the planets in the solar system are located on a flat plane called the Ecliptic I 2012? This is calculated by the NASA true. Earthquakes, huge waves, disasters, drought, and storms happen more often span that is really serious now; furthermore, Magnitude of the earthquake is continually growing as the Earth approached the main plane of our Galaxy. I think sometimes we hear many rumors about something that can make us confusion or fear. I often don’t believe it even I see it by my eyes and hear it by my ears because people are able to make many fake things in our lives to persuade us trust it.
